i’m ana. i’m a designer + art director based in new york city. the work i do is always in the service of storytelling. i help brands discover who they are, examine why they exist, and strategically communicate their ideas, across mediums and platforms. i earned my masters in branding from the school of visual arts and my bfa in graphic design, minor in photography, from virginia state university. i started my career designing at a law firm in richmond, virginia before moving to new york, where i’ve been designing ever since. my experience includes cassandra, a strategy agency studying young consumers, afropunk, the music festival, and droga5, the advertising agency. in 2023, i made the pivot to freelance design, working with apple, warby parker, converse, farmacy, and kamala harris’ presidential campaign.
